On December 27, 2020, the new section of the Beijing-Xiong’an Intercity Railway from Daxing Airport to Xiong’an was officially opened for operation. The Beijing-Xiong’an Intercity Railway was fully connected and the Xiong’an Station was put into operation simultaneously.
The Beijing-Xiong’an Intercity Railway leads from Beijing West Railway Station, passes through the existing Beijing-Kowloon Railway to Liying Station, connects to the newly built high-speed railway line, and passes through Beijing Daxing District, Langfang City, Hebei Province, Bazhou City to Xiong’an New District in the south. The total length of the line is 91 kilometers, and the maximum design speed is 350 kilometers per hour (the initial operating speed is 300 kilometers). The section from Beijing West to Daxing Airport was opened for operation on September 26, 2019. The newly opened section from Daxing Airport to Xiong’an is 59 kilometers long, with 4 stations including Daxing Airport, Gu’an East, Bazhou North and Xiong’an.
